Cream Ale is Gluten Reduced! What does that mean? We add an enzyme to our fermentation that breaks down the naturally occurring gluten during the process in our brewing grains into simpler proteins and amino acids, effectively negating any existing gluten. However, because our beers are made with barley, wheat, oats, and rye, we can’t call them “gluten-free”.
The batches of Cream Ale that we have tested passed the Celiac-safe standard of 20ppm gluten with flying colors. We’ve had many guests with gluten sensitivities and intolerances drink our beer with no issues – but, of course, consume at your own risk.
